After last night's fill in gig for me, Interstate Exiles played a new room for us about 75 miles from the house on Lake Wateree, South Carolina. Cool signage and logo. This was another sign, so we were sure that we were in the right spot. And a quick photo of the lake. Good thing I took this, as I never saw the lake again that night. Thankful that they put up our posters that I had mailed. And there was an A on the door. Since they were open, and so was the door...... The setup dance begins, and in a tight space for us. Rig of the night. Genz Benz Streamliner and the Schroeder 2 x 12. I wanted to cut back some due to the size of the room. Close up of my fan club....OH YEAH ! Rick begged me to add his guitar rig in my report. And a shot of his new acoustic mount from the rear. Sound checking the acoustic. Pre-stand mount . And so the night begins.... and I'm going to sneeze. Barry Drummer on the loose. One more shot of Rick posing Just the bass player. Copperhead Road intro And finally the 2nd set begins. We really had a great night with lots of love from the staff and customers for our first time there. We have two other gigs this summer booked, so hopefully we can build a base of friends and fans in this area. Hope you guys have a good gig too !
Very cool! (Thanks for posting!) How do you like that cordless set-up? On tight stages, they have to earn their keep.
Hi @SWRnut, Excellent photo essay. I love the Entwistle action figure! Thank you for your indulgence, BassCliff
where on earth did you find Kool-Aid guy? that's a classic. You should set up a little piece of sheet rock behind him with a hole busted through, seems he was always busting through walls in those commercials. " Ooooh Yeaaahhh !!!!!"
Cool report. Thanks for sharing. Dig the shirt. Is that an image of one of those plastic thingys that I had to use for my old 45s in order to play them on my turntable?
I cant remember the last time I saw or had one of those little plastic thingy's. Pretty sure they haven't been made in quite awhile, although I do have a box of old 45's around here somewhere and I guess I would need one of those to play them. Now I'm curious and am going to have to find that box and see if I have one of those. I'm guessing most anyone under the age of 50 might not recognize that symbol .
I've had a lot of folks ask me what it was. One night a guy comes up to me and says, "Man, I love your shirt. I asked the girl sitting next to me at the bar if she knew what it was, and she didn't have a clue. Do you think she's too young for me? " I had to admit that she probably was......
