    Sorry for the bother, but does anyone know of a place where I could here what a bunch of different effects sound like? I want to get a pedal of some sort but I don't really know much about effects, so ya know......

    check out www.buzzfox.com they've got some samples of some different kinds of effects.

    and I believe www.musiciansfriend.com has some effects samples somewhere.

    musicians friend has some ..... but music toyz and buzzfox are probably your best bet.
