    That's absurd.

If anything they should give the kid an award for most awesome way to ask for a date and make him part of the prom court, lol.

I agree. It's not like he painted the letters on the wall. BUT, I'd like to know what kind of student this kid is. Does he have a history of class disruptions, or are his grades too low, etc? Still, he was thoughtful enough to make it, so it was easy enough to clean up.

    Supposedly he's a great student.
They really should just knock off this goofiness.

LAME!!! I agree with the above.

  7. It said that he TAPED the message to the wall. That's not going to damage a brick wall.. Why are they even making a big deal out of this? I can see suspending him if maybe he glued stuff there, or something else that would be damaging, but he didn't.
    Poor kid.

Trespassing because he came on to school grounds after hours. I would still give him a break or at least detention hall after the prom.

Plus vandalism. Clearly, this kid is a trouble-maker and with his straight-A grades, he could be the next Lex Luthor.

    Zero Trollerance

Honestly, the kid doesnt even deserve that. He should go unpunished and allowed into prom. In fact, the school should comp him & his dates tickets, pay for the limo, a fancy dinner, and issue a formal apology on public television.

Yay, this story from my corner of the world made national news. If you knew that city where the high school is, this is not surprising.

Wait what? He just taped some stuff up, why is he banned from the prom? I could see if he spray painted it or carved it into the wall, but this is not a reasonable punishment.

a student trespassing at school...let's consider that for a bit. "You have to be here when we tell you, but don't you dare come back!"
I really wish these admins cared more about their students.

  20. His punishment is a bit ridiculous. Hopefully the public outcry/bad press will convince the "headmaster" to reconsider her decision.
