It's taken me months to come up with a half stack that I would enjoy for years to come. Long ago, the Goliath III showed itself to be THE BEST 4x10 I've ever played. I was sold. But heads... AHHHHH!

Anyway, after trying the few that I could afford, I found the GK 1001RB and on the outside, it seems to be the best way to go. It has a whopping 540 watts @ 8 ohms, the same at 4. This matches better with the SWR Goliath III than the Bass 350 (about 200 watts @ 8 ohms) or anything Ampeg (can't stand the tone). A lot of stuff that I really liked was way too expensive.
And the 1001RB is small and light.

So owners, users, abusers...... Is this amp as good as it says or is it just a great concept on paper that doesn't fly (PRS basses... Did I say that?)?

    Can it take the heat?
(BTW, I like the tone, so no need to dog it for clarity. I just want to hear reliability and power feedback)

    Thanks
