GK 700RB-II vs. Peavey Pro 500

Well as the title says, I'm looking into these 2 amps. They will probably be run through an 8 ohm 1x12 for a while, and then later on another 8 ohm 1x12 or 2x10.
I haven't tried either but will try the GK soon, but I unfortanately can't try the Peavey (I live in Australia, if there is a problem with voltages, please let me know). I have tried the Genz-Benz Neo-Pak 3.5 (is the Pro 500 a bit like this?) and loved it, but I would rather get the head from the US because of the cheaper prices.
I play a 5 string and play mainly rock, with a bit of metal, jazz and blues. I'm not after a lot of watts, so no huge amps here!

Thanks

Well your choices seem to be around the wrong way. I don't think the GK and Peavey have switchable voltages on them so without a transformer or some tech work you wont be able to use them OZ. Now if you like the NeoPak then that could be the way to go out of the ones you've mentioned. They are selling them as clearance items in the US (about US$499) and they have an SMPS power supply that is switchable between 115V and 230V.

Are you sure about the GK not being able to be used in Australia ? Because I checked the manual on their site and it seemed to say that it could be used. I would rather have the Neo-Pak than anything, except I don't know any sites that sell it for $499US and ship to Australia except Music123, and they stopped selling it.

Thanks
