Are they're any Electronic techies here ?

I have a USA GK700rb 1st series, and i want it to run off UK voltage. Rather than have to buy a step down transformer from 230/240 to 110/120 - is it possible to mod the existing transformer ?

Written in the manual and on the rear of the head, there is the words " Tested to USA/Can. 120v / Europe 230v / Japan 100v "

Does this mean that the same torroidal transformer is used for all countries but the wiring just needs swopping around ? Or would GK fit a completeley different transformer for the each of the 3 different voltages ?

If i knew the make of transformer i could perhaps swop it out for a suitable UK voltage, if swopping was the only option.

Emailing GK has resulted in being ignored.
  2. The Mk I does not have a universal transformer. so you wouldn't be able to do it without a stepdown transformer.
