    Hey talkbass'ers,

I bought a used 80's 800RB 3-4 years ago. When I bought it, there were some holes drilled on the side of the amp. The owner told me that he did those holes to be able to rackmount it. I didn't care about that problem 3-4 years ago but know, I really want to rackmount it.

So, considering the holes the owner drilled in the head, is it possible to rackmount my 800rb with the new rack ears (the ones on sale on the GK website) or I need to buy the older ones, which are harder to find and cost more?

    Here are some pictures:

  2. The holes "look" close (compared to my vertical switch 800RB). You could always re-drill the ears but looks like you will have to feed the screws from inside the amp? USE internal tooth lock washers!
