I currently own the 800rb and have been thinking about trading it in on a 1001rb.I just wanted some opinions from people that own or have played them both. Thanks

Do it. I just made the same move. It's a whole new world. The 1001RB-II has extended highs and lows compared to the 800, not to mention loads more headroom and flexibility.

I own a 1001RB-II, and I also owned a 1001 previous model, and have rented an 800. I think the 1001 is in a different class than the 800, more power, smoother tone, more tone control, and especially more low bass.

There has been a previous thread or two on this topic, too, if I remember right.
