  1. Hey Guys,
What are your thoughts on these two heads.I think I've narrrowed my search.Opinions...
  2. Brent,

Go for the 700RBII. It has the sound of the 800RB built into it. You will get much more flexibility in tone control from the 700RBII, more power and a better biamp system than the 800RB uses. The 800RB is a bass amp legend that lives on in every GK amp (artist series) made.

    My 1001Rb-II agrees.
  4. I can't remember where, but I saw in a recent thread(overdriving a GK 800?)someone saying the EQ of these two were voiced slightly differently. I'm not sure I'd hear the difference, mind you.

The 700RB II has some nice refinements to the 800RB idea. For example, the 700RB has a variable contour while the 800RB only has a scoop that's the equivalent of the contour full on.

The 700RB also has almost everything on the front panel...even a nice tuner mute, with good controls for the DI, too.

Plus, the 700RB II has more power in a smaller package.
