would like to see these Fusions hit the markets, as i jumped into the lightweight field with a LMII, which didn't work out for me :scowl:

dumped the LMII & picked up a 1001RB-II & found the tone i was searching for,,, so hopefully the Fusion will retain that awesome GK tone, & i can again enter the lightweight realm.

 

I think the 550 is using the power section from the 1001 so that's a good start!

 

The Fusion 550 is 27.5 pounds according to the specs. Is that considered lightweight?

 

It is when you compare it with my 77 pound Marshall VBA400. I'm not bothered though. I love my VBA. That said though, I love my 1001RB as well.

 

I'm really turned off by those motorized knobs. They're just something else to break.

 

I also own a 1001RBII and was thinking about looking into the fusion for more warmth and versatility, but I would guess they weigh about the same if not close.

Since my recent hip injury my >50 lb amp days are over.

 

Anyone have one yet??

 

Just got my GK Fusion 550.

What a killer amp!! All the hype was worth the wait. You will not be disappointed.

The motorized dials work perfectly, and the tone is pure heaven. Puts all other hybrid amps to shame. This will be the last amp I ever buy!
