Purchased from Sweetwater a couple months back (6/16/2021). No gig prospects and income concerns dictate, I will not be using this great amp anytime soon. I’m pretty sure I’ll regret this, but life goes on and the future may be much better, and I can pick one of these up again.

Price listed includes shipping/insurance to lower 48. Other locations, let’s discuss shipping options.

I know, to some, the word “Mint” is misleading for used items. Suffice to say, this amp is in “Excellent ++” condition, operationally and physically. I have smoke free/pet free home, so no “weird smells” when you receive this. This has never been gigged, band-practiced, or “bedroom rock star/festival loudness tested”. I played through it 4-5 times, at low level (gain on 7 and volume on 2…I have neighbors who sleep during the day).

I am including the proper Speakon Neutrik NL2FX to standard Speakon cable. I was a bit peeved when I got the amp and had to source a “special” cable… so I’m including it to ‘pay it forward’.

I really need to sell this for expenses. Saying that, my trade interest is very limited to specifics, which must be in similar functional/physical shape (working, smoke free, weird smell free)
    • DSM Humboldt Bass Simplifier ($250 trade value + cash
    • Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig V2 + cash ($299 trade value + cash)
Shoot me a PM with any question you have. Original paperwork and invoice will accompany the amp.

As someone who is actively looking for a Legacy series amp (though I'm sorry to say I'm mainly after the 500 since, like you, I have no gigging prospects), I'm curious about this "special" cable you had to get. Is there a reason for this cable? Perhaps I haven't done enough homework on these amps.

Yeah, I was baffled when I received this, as I tried to insert my standard Speakon cable into the amp: it only went in 3/4 of the way, so would not twist/lock in; therefore, did not connect.

So, I’m looking at the manual and it says ‘connect a standard 2 conductor Speakon cable’. “I AM trying…!” Then, I pulled out my coke-bottle-lensed glasses and see the Neutrik connection marked as “NL2”. “Huh? What’s the diff? Well, must be something, since what I have doesn’t work…”

I ordered a pair of NL2 connectors from Amazon. Received, replaced my standard cable end and ‘bob’s your uncle’, been using it ever since. Only reason I can discern is for space saving, as the NL2 are slightly smaller in diameter (?).

Good luck with the sale! I've been confused about the special cable required for these amps. From the attached picture, it does look different on the ends so I'm guessing it's a common confusion.

I make my own cables but honestly I wasn't aware that Speakons came in different sizes. The ones I have used for years are the FX series with the silver latch (connector on the right). I greatly appreciate the info!

Even though 800 is way more watts than I need, I will definitely be keeping an eye on this listing. I'm known to impulse buy and regret my decision later. ;)
