Whew, bought a GK Fusion 500 new, two times in the shop, and this time they can't fix it. Only had the amp for a few years, very light use, first time was a crimped ribbon cable and no power. This time I thought I blew out a diaphram on my Bergie HT210S but realized after playing other amps to the same cabinet it was the head. Now when I hit the -14 pad I have no volume. With it off, volume returns, but it is hissy and obviously not right. I know these modular class D heads have their problems, but really? Any ideas as to what might be going on? I shipped it to an authorized GK service shop in Phoenix, and he claims all is well. Where is another service center that knows what they are doing, obviously this guy never plugged the head into a cabinet but just scoped it
If it we're me I'd NOT mess with a service center, send it directly to the G.K. factory. When my MB2-500 had a problem I first contacted Bob Gallien directly here at T.B. by a P.M. He had me contact their factory by e-mail to get a "authorized return number". Next day the number was sent by e-mail. I shipped the head back to G.K. that day. Day after they recieved head G.K. called me with a quote on repair price and time factor for repairs. Head was returned to me "at the quoted price" and "at the time" they said it'd be returned to me. Few days after head was returned I recieved a phone call from G.K. making sure I was happy! GREAT customer service and the head has been flawless since.
I believe GK still provides warranty service at the factory. This is your best bet, I'm sure they will take care of you.
Many thanks in advance This amp has a different flavor which I like very much but like my Eden WT400 seems like I always have to bring a spare just in case: now two times I'll give them an email, and see what happens, Andy, I still have my Streamliner 600 and now a Mesa WD800, no problems with either Phil
