I play in a Elvis back up band and want something light weight. I tried a GK MBE410 and loved the sound but I dont need that much half the time. so would i be better off getting a MB210 and buying a extention speaker?or just getting the MB212 and keeping it down to one 500 watt combo amp. not sure what the best way to go is.

You are obviously looking for a combo, right? If you got the mb210 of course that would give you the option to expand.... But why go with a combo if you were looking to expand? Therefore i would go with either a modular unit (head+cab) or in this case i would go with the 212....

I recently picked up an mB210 as a small gig/practice amp and I love it. My main rig is an Eden pre/ QSC 1804 and 2 Epifani UL310's (to give you an idea of what I'm used to hearing) and while the GK cant be fairly compared to that I am very happy with the tone I get and for moderate volumes it carries the room really well. I have not and probably wont ever use it with an extension cab but with another 210 cab I think it would make a fairly powerful setup. It fits into a small footprint and weighs so little I did a double take the first time I picked it up. Feels like it has no speakers in it and I carried it with one hand for several hundred yards for a load in with little discomfort. I only briefly a/b'ed against the 212 so I cant say much in comparison between the two. If possible you should try them both and see which one fits your sound better. Personally I am a 10" guy but the 12's just may do it for you instead.
