Has anyone done a side by side comparison of the Epi 112UL
neo box, and the GK Neo 112? The Epi is about 9 lbs less
weight, and the GK is more efficient. Opinions please.....

I haven't done the GK1x12 Neo and 112UL, but I've heard the 2x12 Neo next to my 110UL/112UL. Surprisingly close. The difference is only what you'd expect...the Epi stack is a touch more articulate from the 1x10 (just barely) and the 2x12 is a little fuller in the lows/low mids (just barely). Almost identical though.

Thanks Wilby (and missus) I can't believe with all the
talk about the new GK neo 12's, that no one has checked
these two boxes out. Interesting, very interesting.....

At $349 shipped for the GK1x12 and $629 shipped for the GK2x12, I'm pretty surprised too. Oop, baby's crying...

  5. Well I can't say anything about how it compares , but I did just get my 700RBII/Neo 112 Combo today and hears what I have to say

    O M F G !

I am absoulutely amazed how much low end this box kicks out, and it stays tight even at extreme volume levels. It's extremely efficient and with the biamp system employed by the GK head, it is the best cabinet I've ever played through. Until this came in I was considering using the new Eden D112XLT which I had a chance to play through for a couple days thanks to a friend. This GK box has just changed my mind. The GK sounds slightly less aggressive in the mids than the Eden was but the Eden lacked the bottom that the GK is cabable of. I have switched my strings from rounds to flats since trying the Edens so that may have a lot to do with the apparent difference in mids.

As soon as the funds are available I am ordering another GK 112 Neo to add to the combo. :bassist: :hyper: :bassist:

Oh man, no comparison there. I love Eden gear, but the 1x12XLT is pretty worthless. Congrats on the rig.

I replaced my G-B 410 XB with their NeoX 212T and never looked back. The warm, low tone from this cabinet is amazing!
