This is the only pic I can post, since I don't have a scanner.
It's been reviewed in the 05/2002 isseue of German mag Gitarre & Bass

The new model, working title Dream bass, is the result of a design contest in that magazine and the prototype was introduced at Musikmesse Frankfurt.

Long-scale neck-thru 4-pcs maple neck with ebony fretboard, 26 frets
Mahogany body with quilted (?) maple top
    1x MEC J-humbucker
    1x MEC double-J-humbucker
    2-band EQ

It's the green one bottom left.

looks like something BC Rich would make.

if it weren't for the ugly body, it seems like it would be a cool bass.

That's the first Warwick body I like:eek: flames please, it's only my opinion
  5. Looks like it'd go over well with the Euro-metal crowd, especially with the wood and pickup combinations. Plug that sucker into a Fafner and an EBS 4x12 and you've got yourself the ultimate power metal rig.
  6. I got the impression when I read about this a while back (maybe because I need to work on my German reading skills, not to mention my writing or speaking. I can hardly say or write even "gesundheit") that the Dream bass is just a one off bass, made only for the winner of the contest. Seems like I'm all wrong if what JMX tells us is true, even though I wish I wasn't. I don't like that design. At all. Don't go there Warwick!

Everytime I imagine a Warwick bass ( I think I've seen all of them) I imagine curved edges. It looks like if they curved the edges It'd be fine.
  9. I think it looks pretty cool, however I would like to see it in person.

They dont have the traditional rounded body...that was what i loved about them the most!! But it looks sweet, none-the-less

That's exactly how it hit me - violin body side indentations and the Goth vibe corners.

Funny - That looks just like a design that was submitted to the "Design Your Dream Bass" contest in that magazine. Maybe this one was the winner -

  12. Well, d'uh. It's called the Dream bass... :)
Just kidding, that bass is the winner of that contest. Check out Warwicks German site, click "Aktuelles" (i e "news"), then "zum Presse Archiv" and scroll down to März 2002 (March 2002), and there you'll find it, the winner of Gitarre & Bass' and Warwick's "design you dream bass" competition. It looks a little something like this:

And since it's the price of a competition, they'll probably only make one. At least that's the impression I get from Warwick's site. There's no mentioning production in large numbers of it. But maybe they'll start making it if the response is good. I hope it isn't. The world is not big enough for too many ugly basses. ;)

warwick or warlock ? it looks like a ESP f205 with a warwick neck! I dont like it
  15. Honestly, that's the first Warwick I like! The only thing I don't like about it is the bass clef fret markers.

its kinda neat i guess. i'm not into that kinda stuff... but it just doesn't scream warwick at all.. I like the bass clef enlays... i like the color and the pup config... the body is a bit odd.. Doesn't have my name written on it anywhere so i guess its not my dream bass.. oh well
