Glueing plugs

    A question to those who do rehairs. Are the plugs normally glued in, or are they press fit. A violinist friend of mine is looking to get a couple of bows rehaired, and stated that she did not want the plugs glued in. I wasn't aware that they might be glued in place.

    Plugs should be a friction fit. At the tip, you can dip the end of the hair and the plug in powdered rosin for a little extra grip.
