    Hey Y'all,

I haven't found one of these in person to try out - I have played the older SD model. Is the body on the Freeway still a slab with no contouring? I require some contouring, particularly where my right arm (as a righty) comes over the body to pluck.

    Thanks for the help
  2. The Freeway is somewhat contoured. The Contour on the back (bass side) is quite deep, but the contour on the front is pretty mild - but it is there. Not as contoured as my G&L's but it's not a complete slab cut.

It is very nicely contoured at the heel of the neck - not that I spend much time up there.

Nevertheless, they are very fine basses and very well made. The tone is very full and organic too. Without a doubt, the best value of any North American made instrument.

    Thanks Rob,

I'm expecting to end up with some store credit and looking for a second bass - I know the store carries Godin so I may go that way if they still aren't set up with G&L so I can check on a G&L Tribute.
