Yes you read right. I'm starting the new year off with gifting this terrific bass to anyone who really needs a bass or knows anyone who needs a bass (youngster starting out, school program, etc.). This is a Jay Turser version of a '51 Telebass with maple neck and fingerboard that has been given a moderate relic treatment to the body, pickguard, neck and metal parts. I think it adds to the mojo making it look like a well played 58 year old bass. It has new pots including a new orange drop capacitor that really nails the vintage tone. I took the headstock decal off as I was going to add a Vintage decal but never got around to it. The neck is great and the truss rod adjustment works with no issues. This bass sounds amazing and slaps very well with the new Ernie Ball Slinky strings. It is also very lightweight. Just Paypal me for shipping within the CONUS. $30 should do it.

I'm only turning this down because I know there's a lot of bassists that are worse off than me with their gear.

As they say across the pond; Cheers mate for the nice move!

A girl friend of mine who I taught bass has been playing now for a year, but she has no bass of her own so I lend her mine from time to time, I promised her I'd help her get a bass, but she has no money cause she has to study most of the time, and her family won't give her any money for a bass. If I put her in contact with you could work it out? I'm sure she'll appreciate it very much and use it a lot, cause she sure as hell wore out my strings (3 sets of Rotos, damn)
I'm asking for her right now, PM me if you haven't given it away and can get in contact with her.

Thanks to everyone for their interest...wish I had more then one to give away, however, it looks like the bass is going HiFi for a music school program to help some students out. Who knows...a future Marcus Miller or Tal Wilkenfeld (female bass player who plays with Jeff Beck) may be among us. Have a great New Year.
