Going to buy an amp

    hey every one. looking for a new amp. i got $1400. I play in a rock band, jazz/blues band, and solo. Im looking for about 300 watts. No Harke or ampeg. Thanks for the help.

    You may want to look into Aguilars...Nice tube amps. Although many people who like them like Ampeg, too, so I don't know if you would or not. (I'm guessing you don't like Ampeg or Hartke??)

    I've got a mint condition SWR Mo' Bass (900w) with the original design programmable Mo' Control footswitch for sale for $1100 (or reasonable offer). Some people on TB have criticized it a little but I've loved it. Great built in analog effects, tons of power. It would be perfect for what you're playing. Its only a year old and still under warranty.

    Go to your local music store and try out as many amps as you can. One option with that price would be SWR 350x and Goliath III cab.
