If you are headed to NAMM, please do me a favor...

Play my bass, and post a photo of you playing it here (or email me the photo or a link to the photo).

If you are a bass player, you'd go see it anyway -- after all what bass player at NAMM could resist going to see George Furlanetto's Fbass booth, and Jimmy Coppolo's Alleva Coppolo basses in the booth next to George.

Just please have someone snap a photo of you with my bass while you are there.

I wanted to be at NAMM to pick it up myself, but instead I'll be eating my HEART out in Virginia and Maryland on a mandatory business trip.

So I'd like to see how many photos I can get of people posing with my bass before get to hold her. I plan to build a facebook photo album of everyone who got to play "Tom7's bass" at NAMM before I did, and send the link to the photo album to my boss to tease him for making me wait to get her.

In fact, if you didn't post a photo playing my bass at NAMM, you weren't really there! :D

    Thanks for your help, everyone.

    Cheers!

Oops! Yeah, good question. Sorry 'bout that.

It is #7 of 9 replicas of Alain Caron's new fretted Fbass.

Wow. I don't think you'll have a problem finding people to pose with that.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate it. My boss, by the way, plays guitar and has a fairly impressive collection of great guitars, so he should know my pain for waiting. He'll really get a kick out of the photo album.

  17. wow, wow and wow! That bass is just... breath-taking!!!! The color is unusual yet much beautiful; the P sort of pickups are placed how they are supposed to be (for me): "a la Rocco prestia". No ugly switches on sight and therefore a premium of 3 dBs of spl more to you and George only for this: compliments!

But I only hope that the horrible sort of almost rectangular white shadow between the neck pu and the last frets is only a reflex of some panel, instead than a... pickguard... uh? What scares me are those two little black... screws? Tell me that there is no pickguard, please...

  18. What are the requirements for going to NAMM? It looks like you have to work for a company that sells instruments, right? Can performing artists go? (I'm not one, but I may be some day).

  19. I understand is anyone is in any part of the biz you can get in.

I am sad as I'm only a lowly learner and not considered good enough to get in to see the gear, they need to do a public day in the trade show.

And yes that blue is really pretty ;-)
