What are some of the best wireless systems for bass? Does it matter if your using it with a 5 or 6 string?

It dosen't matter what instrument you use it for. They'll work. I have a Nady 3D wireless that I bought in 1995 & it's held up to constant abuse!!!!! I paid $225 for it & it's work every penny.

Personally, I'd Stay away from Samson. I bought one, don't remember the model. It was a high end, UHF one. Cost almost $500. I was getting interference everytime I played it. Brought it back, got a different frequency & it still didn't work right. Some things need no upgrading.:) My cheap VHF unit NEVER gave me ANY interference, EVER!!! :) Until my next show....LOL :p

    I can recommend a Nady Encore II, a 332GT or a 201XL.
All of them have performed well in Live situations.

    Things you should consider:
    1) Go True-Diversity, they are more reliable. (2 Antenas, less drop-outs)

    2) Dont buy anything less than High-Band VHF (160MHz up...)

    3) If you can get a UHF unit, better.

Some of the best wireless I have tried are:
    Digital Sennheiser, Sennheiser Evolution 100.

    Actually, It matters.
Many people dont check the frequency response of their wireless units..
Some offer only a 80Hz to 15KHz , wich is bad for bass.

Nady´s have a good Dynamic reproduction.. over the 120dB range.
Also they offer about 25Hz to 18KHz, wich is apropiate.

I had a Shure VHF unit that I had to get rid of when I joined the band I am in now. All the lights made it buzz like crazy.:(

I should have a Sennheiser Digital 1000 in a couple of days. I will let you know how it works out for me.
