Gold Tone Banjo bass - anyone else?

    That's cool. I kinda think they're the worst sounding basses out there. Worse than a resonator. They exemplify all the worst tonal qualities a bass guitar can possibly produce. But they're still cool looking and I'd gladly take one if it were given to me.

    It would never be my only bass, and the E is a bit dead, but I like the sound, very fingerstyle upright-ish. Would work well in certain settings, but probably not the "best bass for metal"! :D I have to call Wayne at Gold Tone and order a righty bridge for it - I think the dead E is partially old strings, and partially using the lefty bridge flipped around.
