Just curiosity really, but what do you think is the best head/cab combination or combo amp for playing Funk, Jazz, Blues and Reggae.

I do a fair bit of slapping (ooooh mrs!) (sorry, couldn't resist it!) as well as fingerstyle. I'm just getting into tapping also.

Any opinions? **** amps? kickass amps?

    thanx folks

  2. Hmmmm...well, I play lots of styles, and I really love my new Fender Bassman 400 2x10 combo. Also, great amps for what you are describing include the SWR Super Redhead, and also look into an Eden Metro. Ultimately, though, there is no specific 'best' amp for a particular genre...just find what sounds good for your particular style and attack. Hell, Ampeg stacks sound funky for some funk players just because that is what works for them :)
