    Hello all,

I just bought a new Fender (USA) Jazz Bass, and I was wondering if anybody knew of a good bridge that I could put on this bass that will let me keep my through-body option.

Gotoh would be a good option. What is wrong with the standard one?

i imagine the problem with the first one to be that you can only string thru body, and he might want the string thru bridge option. stringing through the bridge decreases the chances you'll break a string at the bridge if you play on high action.

All of Fender's string-thru-body bridges are also cable of string-thru-bridge setup.

That's where you're wrong, Only MIA dlx bridges will do that. My 2000 MIA Jazz only strings thru the body, string through the bridge is not an option.
  6. the hipshot a bridges i believe will fit and allow for the STB option.

Fender Deluxe bridge will do that without changing the basic tone of the bass. :)
