    Well I have acquired a couple new family members this week. Picked up the Sadowsky from one of the fine bassists here on Talkbass. It has Nordstrand Big Singles, Sadowsky Pre and VTC. I really am enjoying this bass. Thanks Maurilio!!!

    The second one is something you rarely see in the pawnshops these days. Its a 1989 StingRay 5. As far as I can tell the color is trans blue fade. They don't send necks like these outta the factory these days thats for sure! I couldn't resist! It sounds as good as it looks!

    Good to find another TBer likely as broke as me after an expensive bass week! :eek: I in fact also fell for the Sadowsky/EBMM SR charms this week.

    I bought a MS5 on Thursday and a 2007 LE SR on Friday.

    Who needs RRSPs anyways?:spit::D

    Nice axes!! I have never seen a neck like that - ever!

    2 in this week too....not on that level though:

    Douglas WPB-955T Fretless 5-String (friday)
    Squier VM P bass (3 hous ago)

    ...good deals on both!!

    ....so that is a good enough excuse!

  11. Two great basses! And that MM is absolutely killer.

  12. Geez, the wood on that Stingray neck is gorgeous!

  13. I think that is the nicest MM I`ve ever seen:eek: the neck is gorgeous!
    The Sadowsky isn`t anything to sneeze at either!

    I don't mind at all...The pawnshop was asking $999 which really wasn't a bad price IMHO but I offered him $800 tax included and walked out with it...Cash almost always talks loudly!

    What a great price for an SR5 with that neck! Glad you made out with such a great bass!
