good beginner bass

  1. hey, i am totally new to playing the bass. i want to learn how, but that requires a bass. any suggestions for a fairly inexpensive newbie bass that still sounds okay? thanks. :D

    get thee to rondo music online and get a n SX jazz bass for $139...

    The Essex (SX) basses are very nice. I've owned 2 of them & IMO, they're very comperable to Mexican made Fenders ($350-400 new) but cost as much as the inexpensive Squier line!!!!
