  1. Hey, what colour pickguards will go good/great with a natural finish bass? I know black looks good. Anymore?

Tortoise shell looks classy on natural(light toned) finishes.

    Black pearloid is really overlooked.

Mint green looks good on anything, and a clear PG would really give it a clean look.
  8. Why not NONE! As in clear, colorless, crystal, no color whatsoever, transparent, a total lack of color.

[John Cleese voice on] A pickguard where the color has ceased to be! :D [Cleese voice off]

Attach it with tiny dots of clear double sided tape - no larger than 1/8" at each place a screw would have gone.

I like the clear guard idea.

Natural redwood with burl would look really cool.

I personally like white pickguards on a natural finish. Maybe I'm the only one.

Black or White, I (IMO) can't stand a tort on a natural, they just don't seem to look good together with me. Choose black for the M-Squared kinda look. :bassist: Or choose white for the vintagy kinda look.

I think tort against a natural bass is one of the coolest looks around....

Tort is good. Black, no. I had a black 'guard on my trans red SR5, and it looked like a big hole in the bass.
