Was tasked with finding some good, dance able country covers for the band to do. We're trying to move more towards event type gigs rather than bar gigs as we've been mostly doing. I heard this one the other day and thought it would be a good one:

I learned it pretty quickly but haven't sprung it on the rest of the band yet.

We're a 5-piece band with keys and guitar who've been playing primarily classic / hard rock type stuff so we don't have steel guitar or fiddle. We have a female vocalist so that's also a consideration but she does male vocals pretty well - at least on the songs we already do. We have a few country songs in our repertoire already but looking to add more of course. Let me know what y'all think please!

    We already do:

    Before He Cheats
    Boot Scootin' Boogie
    Friends In Low Places

that is not a country song. That is the worst of 1970s pop.

Never been a big country fan, but I was in a band years ago that did some. My personal favorite was called (I think) Where'm I Gonna Live When I Get Home. Good for a chuckle and easy to play...

I'm not really either. Just looking for stuff that will please a crowd and get them dancing.

Chris Stapleton - Tennessee Whiskey is one our singer lady had picked out. We had a throw-down run through of it last time we got together and she sounded really good singing it so that one is for sure.

We're not a country band, but pack the dance floor with Neon Moon. With another band we play Dumas Walker, and it's a fun song.
