    Hey guys,

Is $600 good price for a used Hartke HA3500 head rated at 350w and the cabinet is a Hartke VX410 rated at 400w.

The head is good. The cabinet is weak! Rear ported, lack of volume and no tweeter control. $600 is too much, IMO!

Thanks DW. How much do you think I should pay for it if I decided to go for it?

As a completely unbiased observer, I would recommend the HA5000. It has more power and versatility. Incidentally, I have one for sale in the classifieds if you're interested. :)

I'd say $300, $350 at best. But that's just me.

In al seriousness, though, that is way too much for that rig.

I wouldn't pay any more than $350 for the head and cab, and I personally wouldn't pay more than $250, though $300 is probably a fair price. You could buy it new for not much more than $600.

Yep! The head is nice, the enclosure is so-so...not my favorite. No way the pair should command top dollar.

I'll echo the above. $300 ($400 max if in new condition). I know about the cab. Grabbed one off Craigslist (cat in Smithfield) for $175 and the cab was in mint condition. Hooked her up to every amp I owned (including a Hartke 5500) and couldn't get a good sound out of it! Severly disappointed! Sold it for $150 a week later!

I just picked up a Peavey Firebass 700 head and a Genz Benz 215B cabinet for $400.00. I think maybe $300.00 would be a good price for the H3500 and 410 cab.

If you are looking for Hartke equipment the best value is going to be in the XL series. I like the 2.5XL and the 4.5XL the best. Tonally they are cleaner sounding and go deeper.

Depends on your sound, I had that Hartke head, but I went totally GK nuts. Big fan of the rb series for amps and rbx series for cabs

I paid $275 for a used Hartke HA2500 head and the VX410 for my son last year; I think the rig in question is worth about $300-350.

I' ll check out the XLs. It' s just Hartkes are hard to come by in Canada.
