Guitar Center is pushing a "Too Low to Print" sale this weekend. The emails says:

Has anybody been into a GC to see if there's anything spectacular?

No, and after the Memorial Day fail, I'm unlikely to.

    Memorial day fail?
  4. It better be a good sale for me to go there. I usually go there about 2 times a year anymore. I'm already at my quota. Any more than that then it better be a good sale.

They haven't had a decent Memorial Day sale in at least 5 years.

I'm going to GC now... I negotiated a Big Al bass like new condition down to $1100 which isn't bad. Just ask for a better price any day

They don't advertise the prices because they're not low enough to get anyone in.

On bass stuff, yeah. I still get some good guitar deals about once a year, but sales tax kills most of them. :meh:

They can't beat Amazon and their online sister Bain companies with nearly +10% hanging over their heads.

Nothing good. They sell soda now and I got a Decimator and a Diet Mtn Dew. This Guitar Center is next door to a Dollar Tree which sells Diet Mtn Dew for $1. I joked with the sale guy about price matching the Diet Mtn Dew that they sold for $1.59. Put it in the system and the Manager wouldn't approve it. We were joking, but now that I think about it, you can price match a damn 59 cents on a bottle of soda when I'm buying a $139 pedal. It was probably worth 59 cents to see the guy get out of his chair. He rarely moves.
