I need to find a program (a midi, essentially) that can play a drum kit part for me. Does any one know of any good programs that can do this?

There are dozens of them. Maybe over a hundred. What's your budget, what computer are you using, and are you wanting to enter your own drum patterns, or do you just want pre-made patterns to play with?

I'd prefer it if the software was free, I'm using a four year old Gateway Laptop with Windows Vista (It's sad, I know), and I would like to be able to enter my own patterns.

Hydrogen is free, and good. I don't know if it does MIDI, though.

I just need to be able to hear it from my computer. :) I'll look it up. Thanks for the suggestion!
