Hi there, my friend and I have to perform at our school chapel meeting. She plays tenor sax and I play bass so she asked me if we could do a duet. The only problem is we're not really sure what to play. We were both going to play the head of Donna Lee but it's not really appropriate, so we decided to try and do something a bit more reflective, as it's meant to be a musical reflection. Any suggestions for songs that were written as duets (probably unlikely) or ones we could adapt would be great. They don't necessarily have to be praise/worship/hymns/gospel etc. We're both fairly experienced and we're essentially playing for a bunch of teenagers so maybe nothing too simple. Simple is fine, obiviously, as long as it's simple in a beautiful and not boring way (if that makes sense). I think that just about covers it- thanks a lot in advance. P.S. I hope "Recordings" was the right place to post this.
