I was wondering if my squier jazz will be o.k for small bars. It has the good steel magnets in the pickups, but i do notice a little buzz unless both pickups are turned up. I have been told my bass is very nice for a squier-no kiddin! I love the feel of it.But should i be lookin for another for gigs?
  2. If it plays good, then you should be alright.

Your main concern should be your amp when it comes to gigging. As long as you have a bass that sounds and plays good to you/for you, no problem at all.

Amps are a TOTALLY different story, though.:)

This is perfectly normal for a J, even the MIAs have it. You can upgrade to humbuckers, but it's not necessary.

    I second that.

Your amp should be your main concern.

Make sure it is loud enough, and can give you the tone you want.
