I'm sure you've been asked this a million times already...what's the best bang for the buck?

I'm a long time guitarist who's delving into the netherworld so to speak.

I've acquired a Yamaha 350, humbucker/sc configuration, neck and body seem okay. Had volume pot replaced.

I'm looking to invest in a decent yet inexpensive bass combo.

Here's what I have picked out so far...

I'd like to keep the size down otherwise I'd include...

Here's the other criterion...I'd like to be able to stand toe to toe with my 15w Fender Blues Jr....also my solid state Acoustic 100w guitar 212 and my Peavey Monitor 260 (Yes, ancient beasts but they still have plenty of teeth left!) :)

On a side note, I'm looking for a decent and inexpensive 212 cab for the 260 (synth capable as well as guitar/sound reinforcement). I'm currently running it into the Acoustic 212 cab at the moment as the Acoustic has a leaking cap.
(One too many battles with Sir Les Paul left it bloody on the field) ;)

Anyway, aside from competing with my guitar amps, I'd like the bass combo to do reasonably well with un-mic'd drums too should I get lucky and find a drummer.

Any help, comments, alternates would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    M.

I'm wondering, what is an 'old school quote'? What would you think would be good price to get this for? $399 marked down to?

Thanks for the help so far,

    M.

You will have to call, probably $40-50 off? Old school quote link may only be on the www.rmcaudio.com page, I just had the "Direct page " up already.

Effects I can't help with much. I used to use an old Digitech once and a while, till the DSP banks started disappearing. Then just multi-tap echo for "The Wall". Everything else comes from the hands and amp. Maybe post that in the effects section, bet you'll get some answers there :)
