Good music player in Windows?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Davidoc, Sep 21, 2005.

  1. I have a number of good music players in Linux, but I'm not happy with musik cube, the one I'm using in Windows, mainly because I have some big doubts about the randomness of it's shuffle mode.

What music player do you use in Windows?

  2. Itunes.

I still use Winamp. It was *the* player when the whole MP3 thing was news, and I still think it is. Sweet simplicity.

After many years of using Winamp, I switched over to Windows Media Player. I like the EQ adjustments, and the visuals.

Winamp, no flashy stuff, no videoclips, automatic downloads and other crap. Plain and simple.

I use foobar, it plays pretty much anything I throw at it.

Wow, thanks for bringing up foobar! I'd never heard of it before, but I tried it and I really like it! Customizable global hotkeys! Yay! :D

  11. I still use Windows Media Player 10.
I prefer it over iTunes because it's a format you can use everywhere...

I use an old version of Winamp with a plugin that some guy has made which gives it the best EQ I've used in a computer music player. It is fantastic.

    But itunes is ok too.

Winamp all the way. Simple, yet uber-functional. Seems to load faster than WMP, and the EQ is just as good IMO.

foobar for me! I started using it years ago mainly because it's simple and to the point and plays just about every format out there natively.

Winamp all the way. Simple and no clutter. There are some good minimalist skins too.
