Good recording programs?

  1. What recording programs are good for recording bass?
    I've been thinking about getting Acid Music. But I dunno. I used Garage Band thats by far my favorite. I just dont have a mac though. Any suggestions? Also, I cant spend too much. $200 is my max range.

    hmm, tricky, most programmes are good for recording bass(nuendo, cubase, logic, sound forge), you just need a decent desk/pre-amp/di i would suggest with a half decent sequencing programme.

    if you liked Garage Band, you'll like Tracktion. It's great and only costs about 80$.

    I use Cakewalk started on Guitar Tracks and now use Sonar 2 XL

    I either plug into my cheap sound card direct or through the line out of my Ashdown combo.

    i used to be a cubase man, but now i use cool edit pro.
    so far i've had pretty good luck, good sound, and this prog
    is the easiest i've ever used.
