good tapping song/artist (stu hamm style)

Discussion in 'Technique [BG]' started by Stu hamm rules!, Sep 14, 2002.

  1. can anyone recommend a good song for tapping, or a good tapper in general. I mean stu hamm style (he rocks!!) not billy sheehan style, ie 9 finger tapping.

  2. lots of stuff from primus (jerry, DMV), moonlight sonata from stu hamm. EOD has a few tunes which the intros are tapped

most of the cd entitled "a show of hands" by victor wooten.
My personal faves are More love and Overjoyed. But most of the songs are entirely tapped, or have tapping parts in them.

i assume that this is the style you mean?

impressive, its got a nice classical feel to it, but with a nice contemporary feel thrown in

is that all done on 1 bass?, or a stick?

  6. I believe Mr wooten states on thats song that its one bass and one take.
