Good tone in the strangest place

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by ADbassman, Dec 1, 2004.

  1. I was playing with my home audio system today when I was looking the reverberation amplifier and noticed it had a guitar input. How strange. I plugged my bass into it and it just sang. Literally $20 worth of equipment gave me what $1000 heads can't. Granted this couldn't be heard in a band setup, unless I used the reverberation amplifier as a preamp, but thats probably not a good idea live. Amazing.

    "reverberation amplifier"? whassat?
  3. The best kick-drum tone I ever heard -- was on an old deck we use to have - about 10'x10', and when you tapped your heal at one place .... it rocked ... no kidding. If I could have put that in jar (or on a sound track), I'd have a samplers delight.
