My old mag 810 has actually been a 310 for a while so decided to have some fun and do some mods!

got a pair of bn15 400x celestions and I’m really happy with the end look need to finish wiring up the speakers as I ran out of time.

Hope it rocks! Please tell me that's not 1/2" MDF you used for the baffle.

The baffle concerns me as well. Without reinforcement, I’d use ¾” void free plywood.

it is 12mm mdf its a starting point if it works it works if not light weight ply will replace it but its super sturdy with a thick support across the centre to help it

Right on, well 1/2" plywood would be a great start if you like the cab with the fiddeens.

  6. Good deal!! I don't often gig with much more than a 2X12. However, I still own a Heritage 8X10 and a Classic 6X10. Several years ago I bought a dirt cheap ACC 402 cab. 2X15. Now, I realize that the thinking is that 2X15 is not an ideal situation, however, I can't lie.....I LOVE the 2X15 cab. Reminds me of the old days....

Great idea you had!! I salute you, sir!

You said it best, better a functional cab than an empty waste of space. Rock on!

Did you weigh the cabinet after the conversion? I figure the weight specs for the stock cabinet are available, I would be really curious to see if your new cab lost weight and if so how much?
