What's up guys, I have been hiding lately (AKA learning Reba) but I wanted to share something I found recently. I am sure many of you have seen this, but if you haven't, here you go.
I stumbled upon this one day just messing around with a Google search: (time to free up some HD space!)

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yAXu83gJBz08cW5OXoqNuN1IbvDXD2vCrDKj4zn1qmU/htmlview

And a question for the historians among us: As I understand it, Mike played the Languedoc with the DR strings, so when he switched to the Modulus did he use the stock D'Addarios or did he use the DR strings?

Can anyone pinpoint shows where he is playing the Modulus with the DRs/D'Addarios? I'd really like to to compare the tones and I'm hoping we might be able to establish some sort of timeline. I recently went back to the SS Lo Riders on my Q5 and I'd love to hear Mike's tone from that combo specifically if it can be located.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

I'm speculating, but my guess is that is when he switched to slicks. I read that he got turned onto the Modulus after checking out a Phil & Friends show when the guy running the monitor mixer gave Mike a set of headphones and showed him how to isolate just one person, and Mike liked Phil's tone so much from that show, he got his Modulus. If he was chasing Phil's tone some, there is a possibility he went with the strings Phil was using. FWIW Phil is using DR Sunbeams now, so you can compare his tone if that helps at all.

So what you are saying is prior to '03, he was using SS rounds on the Modulus?

  5. Definitely rounds up to the end of 1.0

Didn't last a week with me. Just wasn't my tone or playability to my liking but it found a home nearby with a fellow fan
