They may be grossly expensive, but damn, this is niiice!

  2. Yeah, that is probably one of the nicest basses I have seen. But how much??

Looks amazing, but why those cheap-looking singlecoils?!?

  4. I...don't think that is very pretty. I like solid colors.

  5. i've never really cared for that type of wood, i'm not sure what the hell it is but i know i've seen it on something else and i didn't like it. i think it's chestnut. that and anything spalted and sometimes even burled woods look like someone puked on them to me.

LOL! Sometimes it does look like they used the moss and fungus too!

  7. Looks good to me! Someday I will have a bass made out of exotic woods that looks as nice as that one!

That top is a little much for me. I like my plain ole Flamed Maple top!! BTW... the pickups are Duncan single coils. They are a 195.00 option.

The top on that one is burl Buckeye. I like it. First of all, the fact that it is BLUE WOOD :). I like the idea though of taking wood that is moldy (spalted) or from, uh, whatever it is that causes burls, and making something beautiful out of it. Those spalted maple Sadowskys from the other thread are amazing! I was set on cocobolo for my next bass, now I'm not so sure. . .

Jeff, the top on your DP looks killer! How much longer before it's ready?

  12. Dave is doing a fine job on that bass! I'm hoping it will be done within the next 4 weeks.

Nice, but not for me. I'd rather have one like this:

Burled buckeye? You learn something new everyday... that Fodera is a beautiful bass I have to say.

yeah.. if I can ever afford a Fodera bass.. It will be mine. oh yeas.. it will mine :)

  18. I like this one...

    It's a lighter buckeye burl.

I do prefer the darker blue burl - it looks like marble. My DP Custom 6 will have the darker burl.
