Hey guys, What do you guys think of this for a warm/fat gospel tone. Is it useable?
Don't mind the playing as i've only been playing for 6 months. Also don't mind the fret buzz.. just had a major change in weather.

    Setup:

    - Bass: Yamaha Trbx305 with Bartolini A/P 3 band eq (internal gain set to 0)
    eq set flat
    D'addario Prosteels .130 .105 .85 .65 .45
    - Amp: Aguilar ToneHammer 500 w/ 10db engaged
    using DI only
    eq set flat (12 o'clock)
    Drive all the way down
    - TC Electronic Spectra comp bass compressor
"Hold My Neon Mule" MonoNeon tone print
Running in front of the amp
    - The DI goes into Scarlet 8i6 Focusrite AI
    Into Reaper recording software

    Dropbox - Test Tone.wav

Did you try downloading it? Other people were able to access it.

might have been due to a work-related block.. idk.
Am able to access from home..

TO me - it sounds fine on its own, but you'll need to put it in-the-mix with something to get a good feel for how it will "blend".

Sounds good but I'd lose the SS strings. Use Nickel coated. But that's just me.

  6. It sounds good, but with no band it´s really harder knowing if it fits well in the mix.
I can go wrong but probably I´d add a few dB´s in the sub low area and I´d cut a bit around the low mids. It´s me.;)
