Got a crazy deal!! (Ampeg)

I'm picking up an Ampeg svt classic and matching 8x10 in good condition that was recently looked over by a tech for $1000 CDN!!!! For both!!!

Crazy stupid deal, I couldn't pass it!

I have a fender super bassman which I absolutely love and that is never going anywhere but I also love me some ampeg

Just wanted to share (I'm never this lucky)

Might flip the 8x10 and recoup some of the cost and basically get an svt for the price it would cost to retube one!

Just a word of caution if I may. Try and make sure, if you can, that you are not buying stolen items. Often when the price seems very low there is an underlying reason. If everything seems to be on the up and up enjoy your new toy.

Play the whole rig before you think about flipping anything. Nothing (and I mean nothing) sounds like an SVT through an Ampeg 8 10.

If you move 8x10 cab right its not that bad.....Leverage...in fact i have moved bigger cabs easier than separates, no lifting, right to the van and tilt it in..

Yeah for sure! The guy seems very trust worthy, I'm picking it up from his church. Not that that's always a sign of a good person but I'd like to think it is.

I agree! It's amazing, played through them for about 10 years on rented back lines and such. Just don't need that much cab but there's good chance I'll keep it anyway!

Nice! Last time I bought an SVT head it was $150.00… that was 1990 though. It worked, too. Sold it for $250.00

We have a ford E350 so no worries there, not touring right now but the guys would still kill me if I brought the 8x10.

We're an opening act most of time so very tight stages and super fast set ups and tear downs so for gigging I'll probably stick to the super bassman and 4x10 neo!

proper hand trucks and dollies is the way to really go..this time around we got a trailer and will get it to the door and be much more organized about load in and out

We try not to bring a trailer to save money and make the drives a little safer. If we use the trailer then it wouldn't be a problem at all.
