Got a reccomendation from Eminence...opinions?

  1. I was told that the Legend CB158 would be the best option for replacement drivers in my late 60's early 70's shallow Peavey 215... I'm running a Mesa d-800+ and I like a little breakup and warm thick lows... opinions? should I just drop the coin for the KL3015's? I'd be saving 120 bucks if I got the CB158's... could they handle my needs, though? I like it loud... don't want to destroy them...

    Eminence themselves told you this?
If you got it in writing that's a good recommendation.
    They know their drivers

With the D-800+, I would be careful with the power. My experience is that unless the tuning of the enclosure is ideal, you will be better off running the amp in 2 ohm mode which reduces the rated power into 4 ohms to about 600 watts.

The KappaLite is a much better choice, my suggestion about cabinet tuning still applies.
