  2. I read in a interview that his wife is not amused by his ever growing collection of basses... maybe she convinced him that it is time to let go some.

Let go of some wife? Yeah, that's probably the best plan if she's having issues with his basses. He's freakin' Stanley Clark!

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

Sorry, that is one of the worst looking bass designs I have ever seen!
  5. I must agree baird.

I might pay $700 for it if I was in the mood.

    Pluck away...

Even at $2000 or $3000, that would not be my thing. It's kind-of neat... in a "what an original and odd bass" kind-of way. 12.5 lbs? My shoulder is hurting already!

Wow...as much as I love Stanley Clarke and as much as I like Ken Smith basses only 2 words come to mind when I saw that bass: Butt and Ugly:meh:
  9. Just wanna remind everyone that we can't have any bashing or the thread will be closed. You may not like how it looks but you can't say that it's 'A Glee,' lol.....:D
It seems to be a mish-mash of design elements that didn't quite go together as well as those responsible had hoped.

I have to wonder if SC really even played it that much. And it IS fugly as all get out. I'll bid $170.00 INCLUDING shipping.
  11. The pick guard is soo wrong for the shape of guitar. Makes you wonder!

    Good luck with the sale!

I like the saturn and space shuttle work but the body isn't to appealing.

Yeah, I've gotta say it doesn't seem comfortable at all to play. The inlays are kinda cool individually, though they seem scattered randomly around. Definitely wouldn't be my thing, especially at 12 pounds. Haha.
  14. you'd have to pay me 17k to take that ugly monstrosity

How could you go so far as to rework the flying V shape into a more graceful design, then stick that brass control plate on the front randomly with a straight row of controls? Seems a little thoughtlessly designed, though I'm sure it sounds good.

Looks like the result of too many bad acid trips.

It looks like a flying V that ran out of gas and crashed. Poor thing... :atoz: :crying:
