Hey guys...thought I'd show you my newly acquired Stingray 5 in Burnt Apple! Beaver at Bass Central told me he could give me a killer deal on it because it was the LAST Burnt Apple SR5 he had! $1149 with case, free video, and free shipping! Good deal, huh? Let me know what you think!

Nan Nuys, Van Nuys! Perhaps a tortoise pickguard. I had the black one on my SR5, and it sucked all the light away, kinda like a black hole.

  7. wow.......both the posted pics of the sr5's have beautiful finishes. I love that about the MM's, they almost look as awesome as they sound.

Congrats on getting one of the last Burnt Apple finished MM's! That is one of my favorite finishes ever, and had unfortunatley planned on getting one later down the road.

Congrats on the Ray5. I hope you're enojoying yours as much as i am mine. I liked burnt apple but wanted a translucent finish rather than the metal flake. That is an awesome price for the Ray5 shipped, i paid $1400 and got a t-shirt plus a setup [it didn't need much]. Now only if i didn't want a double bass..... ;) That's all, have fun.

Killer Deal! I am wowed by the tone of these beasts everytime I can get my poor hands on them.

  10. Indeed that is a nice price. Mine cost $1800 US, but it includes the matching headstock and piezo. I would have gotten mine from Bass Central, but the price I got was awesome for mine, and I don't think even Beaver would let me argue it lower then that, even without accounting for shipping from there to Canada.

  11. That is one sexy bass, Hofbrauhaus!!! WOW!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I sure think she is sexy as well. I actually would like to change the pickguard...but I have no clue what would look good on a burnt apple finish other than plain black! Any suggestions?

  13. Meh. Unless you are talking about custom pickguards, black works best. Albalone or Shell MIGHT do her, but I would advice against Pearloid. I never thought pearloid looked good on an opaque finish, and shell really only looks good on a few colours IMO, and I hate Abalone in any setting anyways.

You got a better deal than I did. I got a black one with maple neck. In my case, I went into the warehouse and had to choose from an abundance of color combos. I chose basic black, but could have had anything. Congrats. I want another someday.

The Beav is very cool with his deals. I reccomend anyone to shop there. Heck, even Gard isn't too bad.

Welcome to the club. As far as the pick guard goes I like the white with white pick-up. Here's mine.
