If I was looking for a bass in that price range I would have to consider this one for $399:

The Spector suggestion is a good one too. They have a model in that price range that plays amazingly well.

Can't leave out Schecter, though. They have a Diamond Series bass for under $500 that you might like.

A few dollars more (under $600) and your in neck-through territory with Schecter and Tobias.

    Good luck.

You live anywhere near Vegas. If so, please take a trip to Ed Roman's guitar world for me and leave a huge Cleveland Steamer on his desk for me. Treated me like **** while I was there and I had a wad of fresh casino cash to spend. His loss, dumbass.

    Used:

    Lakland Skyline or

    KenSmithDesign 60's or 70's series

    Can't go wrong with these.

I would have to suggest the Spector as well. Its a great bass, and sadly i have a 5 string version of it for sale (see signature), but it is a greattt bass, definitely worth looking into.

someone mentioned a neck-through for 600 bucks or so..how about the washburns that i mentioned...they're both neck through. Anyone with experience with those? thats pretty cheap for neckthroughs

  10. I think a skyline is going to cost you $600 to $700 on the low end, but maybe that's just what I've priced for a 5 string. Check out Figjam's 5 String Spector... can't beat the price!

If I went there, it'd be specifically for my own entertainment. Should be good ... ol' Munji baiting Ed Roman.
