    FINALLY got my Bergantino NV610!
its an older version, but still just as good!

Literally, puts my ampeg to shame. im selling my 810 in order to buy an NV412 i think :hyper:

    review part:

It sounds amazing.better than ANY cabinet i've ever played. Tons of low end, for sure more than my ampegs.
Very efficient and not too heavy. Very easy to manuver.

Mesa Titan V12- sounds amazing. Makes the tube-driven mosfet sound crazy awesome. i'm very happy with this combo. i know the cab can handle the push too. Sounds great and makes a great rock rig.

Peavey VB-2 all tube- REALLY opens up with this cab. Warmth and tone are amazing here and i'm really excited to record with my rig. the peavey fits on the cab better, but the mesa is pure rock and roll :smug:

I hope to get a rolling case for this baby so i can tour with it this summer. otherwise i'll have to play my ampeg 810 :crying:

    haha

i love this cab and its going to spend a lot of time with me.

and the best part is....i got it for only $600! yes!
    :)

Also guys, i need a cover for this cab.

as for standards, heres the pics:

Great score on the Berg! Have to say, I would be a bit nervous with my amp hanging that far over the cab, especially when you get that cab thumping.

    Enjoy that beast!

    what size are shallow racks?

amp itself needs 15" front to back, and then some room for the footswich ( 2" or so)

  4. There's one of these in the Atlanta GC, I saw it a few days ago and had to resist the urge to plug in and play. I'm highly tempted to load up my bass and amp to go try it, even though I would blow out ALL my savings from the last few months on it...and I would have to ship it to myself in MN...but it might be worth it, if what everybody says is true...

    I bet it kills.

For a few bucks, you can get a light duty tie-down strap from Lowes or somewhere, and strap the head down using the handles on the sides of the cab. Doesn't make it look nicer, but it's peace of mind.

    Loves me some Berg. :ninja:

i dont like carpet..especially on head cases.

anyway, i think i'm getting a rolling shockmount 12sp. have some cash to spend on rack gear..soo i'll have 6-9 spaces to fill :]

  7. Actually if you look closer his rack is not hanging off that much. The rear rack cover is still on giving the impression that it hanging really far off. I would pull it forward about a half inch or so and as long as the rubber feet are on the cab then it souldn't be a problem. Nice score on the Berg. I have one too. I want another oe and a Genz Benz GBE1200.

Looks great. Cut a piece of plywood that overhangs the cab just enough to allow the feet solid footing.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest that my rack rigs hang over the back of my NV610. I've never had a problem with a rack moving around, and I frequently play at high volume.

Now when it comes to stuff I put on top of my rack, well, that's another story. I made the mistake of using a rack lid as a tray on top of the rack... doesn't stay put!

Congratulations! You scored with that price bigtime.

I'm next in line... the bullet is in the chamber and my finger is shaking on the trigger.

    Great, great score.

I looked for a used one for a while, gave up and paid full price at BassNW in Seattle. Which was, what, double that?? Oooof.

N(V)'Joy that cab!! I love mine.

this cab is very sensitive to the mids....i'm having a hard time with string noise and overall mid/highs. Maybe its the bass. I'm adjusting my mesa settings currently.

  14. I got mine custom made from Tom at D2F. Real nice fit and protection.

Welcome to the club. We weren't exaggerating, were we?

Need more bottom? Try a 2x15+6...

And the 4x12 must be just ridiculous...in fact, 2 of his 12's are pretty ridiculous.

    Cheers,
    Cameron

Pulled the trigger. 4:00PM EST. I guess I'll be starting my own thread next week. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Gave my business to jive1 (jong) at www.jivesound.com . Met him at NAMM a few years back. Super cool dude, despite the fact that he posts pics of me with accordians.

  17. it is....I have my fourth one now and it isn't going anywhere! I am thinking of adding an NV412 to it for good measure. I really LOVE the way it cuts through a mix. The NV215 rolls under a mix and this just goes through it. I would think this plus the 412 would be THE rock rig! Add in a DB750 and there you have it. For what its worth I toured with a 72' SVT and 8X10 for years and this kills that rig in every possible way. I have an NV610/DB750 Rig and I have an IP310 with an assortment of preamps and I honestly can't see using any other cabs. I LOVED the Accugroove EL Whappo and the DB750 for a Hi Fi type rig but if you want "classic vintage" the NV610 will kill an SVT 8X10 with room to spare! Not to mention the fact it is lighter, smaller, easier to move and only sounds about 100 times better than the new Ampeg 8X10s!!! In my opinion you can't go wrong with one of these!

    Peace,

    T

  18. Excellent choice of Jong! I have bought quite a bit of stuff from him including numerous Bergantino products. He usually gives the best price I can find right off the bat and goes out his way to treat you right! You will be very happy with your purchase. They sound GREAT right out of the box but after 10 to 15 hours or so you will start to really hear the sweet stuff! As soon as they come in you will know! IT IS THE BEST 8X10 box out there...PERIOD! OH wait a minute it only has 6X10s.....oh well!! So much the better I guess! Enjoy and play it in good health!

    Peace,

    T

  19. Jong is the dude! Great service, knowledge, prompt delivery.

Now about those pics of you w/accordians......
Didn't I warn you that if you posted those on the net anyone and everyone would get them?
There's even one in the Lincoln bedroom.
