Just got my new Fender Geddy Lee Sig. Jazz Bass tonight. I played a little bass in college for fun (about 10 years ago) but ultimately gave it up. :( This was the first time I touched a bass in 10 years and it felt great. :hyper: Nice growl, cool feel, and I love the thinned neck. Once I learn to play better I guess I'll be looking to upgrade to a nicer model, but this will certainly do for now.

Sorry if this is a boring topic but I feel fantastic and thought I'd share.

Glad you returned to the low end. I have heard so many great things about the Lee's that you might not need to do any upgrading later.

    Good luck

Did you mean he WON'T have to uprgrade later? I think the Geddy Lee is a great bass. Many people with much mroe expensive still use they're GLs and think they are great basses?

Welcome back to bass, and welcome to Talkbass!

The Geddy Lee Jazz is a great bass for the price. I like mine a lot. I just wish that it was a five string.
