I was REEEEALY wanting the 212 but come across the 15 locally so I picked it up, hopefully I'll run across a 212 one day. Next up is upgrading the amp (really leaning towards a shuttlemax 12.0) I've got less then $600 invested in BOTH cabs
You need twice as many 10"s and four times as many 15"s. Clearly. Looks cool, though. Matching cabs can look pretty nice. Every part of my rig is mismatched, so it doesn't look as sexy as yours.
yeah, there was a 212 that matched that was 200 miles away, I ALMOST went and picked it up. While I was deciding it ended up getting sold. I really hope to come across a silver grilled 212 an hour or 2 away.
I played the 212 at a local store and it sounded great. However it's the newer black grilled cab, plus I'm not a pay-full-price kinda guy
Personally I like to keep a 1:2 ratio with 15"s and 10"s. But whatever floats your boat. And yes, if I got an 8x10, I'd insist on also getting a 4x15.
I haven't messed with it too much yet, but the combo is really growing on me already. Like I said, I was wanting the 212 however this just popped up, and now not a week later the 212 has popped up locally as well, his asking price is just way too high. There is no way he'll get what he'll want out of it, I told him to email me when he's ready to work on the price. Maybe I'll just use all 3 cabs. I'm not currently in a band right now, my work schedule got in the way (no one else in the band has a full time job) so they didn't want to work with my schedule (not going to get into it too much) but it was a pretty screwed up situation but the last band was CGCF.
